🌸🌞 Authenticity is more contagious than you think πŸ¦‹πŸ’œ

Why are some people really so incredibly prone to resorting to dishonest facades and bitter expressions when they are met with a healthy and natural no thank you?

Far too often, you see people hiding behind thick walls or slamming the door in anger as soon as things don't go their way. They sling mud, assume an unnecessary victim role to fish for sympathy, or threaten others with strange lists to hide their own wounded pride. Amid all the evasive talk and childish behavior, they completely forget that people's reactions are always connected to the way they themselves choose to speak to others.

Over the past few days, I have witnessed something that I was also reminded of and, not least, ended up falling into myself. In the past, I have often caught myself spending far too much energy on other people's bad moods or noncommittal behavior. I tried to smooth things over or figure out why they reacted the way they did, even though deep down it only drained my sensitive heart.
It has taken me time to learn, and I am still learning. You really shouldn't waste your precious time trying to explain yourself to people who have no desire to understand you at all.

If people choose to feel sorry for themselves instead of speaking respectfully, then that is entirely their own problem. Quality always wins over quantity, and I only want what is genuine and positive in my life. I will continue to apply that lesson every single day and get better at it. I will keep looking at myself in the mirror with a proud smile and cherishing my amazing energy. The truth may sting a little on the surface, but my strength lies in being true to myself.

🌸🦋 Stand completely firm in who you are, let dishonesty drift in its own waters, and believe in your inner strength! 💜🌞
