Install from Safari on iPhone or iPad

Safari installs Arto through the Share menu.

1. Tap Share. If the button is not shown directly, tap More (…) first.
2. Choose Add to Home Screen. If it is missing, tap Edit Actions.
3. Turn on Open as Web App if the option appears, then tap Add.

Then open Arto from the new icon on your home screen.

Install from Chrome on iPhone or iPad

This option requires iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later.

1. Tap Share to the right of the address bar.
2. Find and tap Add to Home Screen.
3. Confirm or edit the details, then tap Add.

Then open Arto from the new icon on your home screen.

Install from Firefox on iPhone or iPad

This option requires iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later.

1. Tap the Share icon in the address bar.
2. Tap Add to Home Screen.
3. Edit the name if needed, then tap Add.

Then open Arto from the new icon on your home screen.

Install from Edge on iPhone or iPad

This option requires iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later.

1. Open the Edge menu (…).
2. Tap Share.
3. Choose Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.

Then open Arto from the new icon on your home screen.

The browser cannot be identified reliably

Install from Chrome on Android

If the Install Arto button appears above, you can use it directly. Otherwise, use the Chrome menu.

1. Tap More (⋮) to the right of the address bar.
2. Tap Install and create shortcut, then Install.
3. Follow the final on-screen instruction.

Arto will then appear alongside your other apps.

Add to the home screen from Firefox on Android

Firefox can add Arto to your home screen from the browser menu.

1. Tap the Firefox menu (⋮).
2. Tap Add to Home Screen.
3. Edit the name if needed, tap Add, then confirm with Add again.

Arto will then appear as a shortcut on your home screen.

Install from Samsung Internet

Samsung Internet has its own shortcut in the browser menu.

1. Tap the three-line menu (☰).
2. Choose Add page to → Home screen.
3. Confirm with Add.

Arto will then appear alongside your other apps.

Add to the home screen from Edge on Android

If the Install Arto button appears above, you can use it directly. Otherwise, add Arto to your home screen from the Edge menu.

1. Open the Edge menu (…).
2. Tap Add to phone. You may need to swipe through the menu icons.
3. Confirm with Add or Install.

Arto will then appear as a shortcut on your home screen.

The browser cannot be identified reliably

Install from Safari on Mac

On macOS Sonoma 14 or later, you can add Arto to the Dock from Safari.

1. Click Share in the toolbar, or open the File menu.
2. Choose Add to Dock.
3. Check the name and click Add.

Install from Firefox on Windows

If the web app icon is not shown, this version of Firefox cannot install Arto.

1. Click the web app icon in the address bar.
2. Firefox installs Arto and adds a shortcut to the Start menu.
3. Choose Yes if Firefox asks whether to pin Arto to the taskbar.

Install from Chrome on a computer

If the Install Arto button appears above, you can use it directly.

1. Click the Install icon to the right of the address bar if it appears.
2. Otherwise, open the menu (⋮) and choose Cast, save and share → Install page as app.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to install.

Install from Edge on a computer

If the Install Arto button appears above, you can use it directly.

1. Click the App available icon in the address bar if it appears.
2. Otherwise, choose Settings and more (…) → More tools → Apps → Install this site as an app.
3. Click Install.
