General behavior towards other users

• Insults, harassment, threats, and any other behavior intended to bother others are under no circumstances allowed on Arto.
• Insulting Arto’s editorial team members in connection with their work is not tolerated and will result in immediate exclusion.
• Arto may not be used for sexual chat, to find people who want to chat sexually, or similar. Offensive messages will result in immediate exclusion.

Racism and religion

We reserve the right to remove racist or derogatory posts anywhere on the site. This also applies to propaganda from political or religious organizations that promote such views.

Debates about racism or racist propaganda may be accepted as long as the discussion is conducted in a factual manner.

Debate about religion is acceptable if it is conducted respectfully. Debates that are clearly intended to provoke or test the boundaries of public discussion are not accepted and may result in blocking.

Abuse

Chain letters, spam, and any other form of abuse of Arto are not allowed. Arto will never send out information that users must forward, or ask you to forward anything to avoid new rules. Arto has other, much more effective ways to send information to all users.

Images

You may add most images on Arto, but the following are not allowed:

• Images with blood, violence, or other elements that may be offensive to other users.
• Images with racist or Nazi content.
• Images intended to belittle others.
• Images taken from other users without their consent.
• All types of weapons.
• Images of or with drugs, including cannabis plants.
• Note extra rules for profile pictures under the section “Profiles in general”.

Any form of pornographic or sexually explicit images will be removed. Repeated violations may result in exclusion.

If you add images for which you do not own the copyright, you must have permission from the rights holder before you may use them on Arto.

Debate

• New discussion topics must be created in the correct category to make discussions easier to follow. If you create a post in the wrong category, you can either delete it and create it again, or contact an editorial member who can move it for you.
• A respectful tone must be kept in discussions. Personal attacks are not welcome. We are aware that some topics can lead to heated debates, and that you may write something inappropriate in the heat of the moment. We therefore encourage you to read through your posts before sending them.
• Games and “Now listening to” threads are welcome in the “Free talk” category. Only create a new topic if there isn’t already an active thread—join the existing one instead of starting your own.
• Buying and selling are not allowed, and the same applies to advertisements.

Profiles

• Profile texts with offensive content will be blocked.
• Profiles pretending to be someone else will be blocked.
• Profile texts with harmful content or content that could otherwise negatively affect a visitor’s computer are not allowed.
• Links and buttons in the profile text must clearly show what they do and where they lead.
• Profiles created for model scouting are not allowed and will be blocked.
• It is not allowed to create fake profiles. A fake profile is a profile that does not represent the person using it.
• Profiles created for marketing purposes require prior permission from Arto.
• If your profile picture shows a person, it must be yourself. However, you are welcome to use profile pictures that do not show people.

It is your responsibility to ensure that these rules are followed from your profile. If you share or lose control of your password and others gain access to your profile, you are still responsible for the activity.

Please note that your profile is public. If there is something you do not want others to see, you should not write or display it on your profile.
