Tomahawk from Slagter Laursen in Brædstrup. I've actually never had one of these before. And when the choice is between boring beef medallions, an entrecôte full of sinew and with no fat, and a chunk like this full of intramuscular fat marbling—I just can't resist. Besides, it was cheaper than everything else. It will be served on New Year's Eve after having been "in the bath" for 24 hours, with Hasselback potatoes and a homemade red wine sauce. For the starter, I've whipped up a lovely light tuna mousse. And for dessert, a deathly boring vanilla ice cream—but there probably won't be room for it anyway, so it hardly matters! Happy New Year!
Dinner: Homemade pizza with tomato, cheese, Serrano ham, and paper-thin potato slices, seasoned with oregano, rosemary, and pepper. The pizza base is Netto's Premium sourdough pizza base for DKK 18. It's hard to do much better for less. It was damn good!

Oh, Copenhagen...
A little evening stroll in Valby Park. Who else comes here?
The world's loveliest dog turns 11 today. 🎈 Despite a few occasional issues with her legs, she's still as lively, beautiful, and wonderful as ever. A true lady of leisure! She'll be celebrated this afternoon with new stuffed toys and liver pâté with lots of cucumber (her favorite).
A little pit stop in Silkeborg certainly doesn't hurt when the weather is this lovely.
Come, sweet gentle May.
The world's most wonderful dog. Kibo ❤️ Turns 11 on May 10.
A typical day in TV land. The Paralympic Trot from Åby, Sweden, with live Danish studio coverage from the production in Aarhus Ø. 40 degrees in the shade. It's wonderful!
